I’d like to thank you for all you and Ron did for me and the other veterans. I came to the meetup not knowing what to expect, but the person that invited me said to be there. It was the best decision I had made in a while. I was welcomed and soon realized that I really didn’t know about the benefits and compensation that I was entitled to! I started attending in February 2023 with no knowledge about compensation and by November 2024, I was 50%. By March 2025 I had been awarded 90%! Your encouragement was priceless and I am grateful for your guidance and willingness to continue to share this with us veterans that didn’t know what we didn’t know!
Hi my name is Keith Matthews and I just want to take a moment to share my story to inform veterans of a great organization and support system available to them. I first met Dwayne Kelly at church seven years ago. At that time he was working at Fort Custard veterans department. Being a former veteran, I had bitter memories and felt betrayed by the VA as a veteran. Being injured and honorably discharged in 1977 I was denied any disabilities benefits. Mr. Kelly who is also a veteran encouraged me to reapply for my benefits. But my deep seated anger was too old and deep. Mr. Kelly told me that the VA depends on this anger to keep veterans from fighting for their benefits. Long story short using his new organization the “ Veterans Reinforcement Center “ I reapplied and after 50 years started receiving my disability benefits. I am also now a member of the VRRC board. I am now standing strong with Mr Kelly ready to fight for you.
I have known Dwayne Kelly for about 5 years. I leads a peer support group at the Lansing, MI VA clinic, Dwayne has assisted myself and many other Vets in receiving disability benefits, For my self, Mr. Kelly was informative. He showed us how to use a website the VA uses, by bringing it up on his computer then connecting it to the tv. That helped me learn how to use the website, which I used in finding benefits I could apply for. He started the group in Lansing 14 yrs. ago and has assisted countless Vets in life changing decisions
I had the privilege of attending a phenomenal Lunch and Learn last Thursday hosted by Wayne Kelly, a proud Military Marine and passionate advocate for veterans through the Veteran Resource Reinforcement Center. From the moment he began, it was clear that Wayne brings not only deep expertise but a heart full of purpose to his work.
His dedication to empowering veterans is unmistakable. Wayne doesn’t just speak to inspire—he listens, he uplifts, and he creates space for veterans to reclaim their independence and take personal responsibility for their success. His approach is grounded in respect, dignity, and a belief in each veteran’s potential.
The event was more than informative—it was energizing. Wayne’s ability to connect, encourage, and challenge us to rise to our own goals was a masterclass in leadership and compassion. I left feeling motivated, grateful, and honored to have met someone so committed to service beyond the uniform.
If you ever get the chance to attend one of Wayne’s sessions or work alongside him, don’t hesitate. He’s the kind of leader who leaves a lasting impression—and helps others do the same.
I met Dwayne Kelly by accident earlier this year. I had been working on benefits for about 8 months on my own and it wasn’t going very well. I was at The Battle-Creek VA for the first medical appointment and as I was walking to my car in the parking lot someone called out and asked, how’s it going? That began my first conversation with Dwayne and my first bright light in the entire benefit process. Dwayne provided his phone number and offered assistance with the process. He has truly been a God sent and has opened door after door for me to obtain the benefits I am entitled to.
Dwayne has recently retired from his position with the VA and has formalized the Veteran Reinforcement Resource Center where he will continue the fine work that he has been doing for years to help vets!
